Knuffle Bunny
Improvised this stuffed, crocheted Knuffle Bunny as a gift for my niece, writing up the pattern as I went. I purchased 4 skeins of green & 1 skein of blue yarn, but the pattern in this size only needs ~1.5 skeins of green & a portion of the blue. I used Red Heart Plush Baby yarn, which was so soft & so forgiving, but you can substitute it out for another worsted weight yarn (preferably somewhat plushy to keep the stuffed animal feel). If you choose to go with a lighter weight yarn, then the dimensions will naturally be a bit smaller. I ended up with Knuffle Bunny about one foot tall (about 18” with ears…I will try to get more info/details by doing some comparative measuring from the pics I took!).
I spent about a week working on the construction of Knuffle Bunny and documenting the pattern, and I used nylons to line the stuffed pieces to help keep the finished product more washer/dryer-friendly.
PLEASE NOTE! This is my first pattern, and I’m writing this up for myself. I’ve modeled it on other amigurumi patterns & am loosely adapting a few of them into this pattern…hopefully it will make sense for others.
Feel free to use this pattern for personal use/gifts, but items made from this pattern may not be sold.
