Suggested yarns:
100% wool DK or a wool/acrylic mix DK. I used Stylecraft Life DK, however you could use any alternative yarn that knits to the same tension/gauge.

Gauge:
Hat - 22 sts and 30 rows to 10cm/4in using US6/4mm needles over st st.
Booties - 24 sts and 32 rows to 10cm/4in using US3/3.25mm needles over st st.
