The Koala Kid Vest pattern is a unisex close-fitting sleeveless vest knitted back and forth in stocking stitch with an intarsia image on the front, bindings for the neck and armholes. Basic chart reading and a small amount of sewing is required. Full written instructions for the charts are included. The complete pattern is written for 4ply fingering weight and for 8ply DK weight.

Treat your child to this cute Koala vest. It’s perfect for Australian kids or those who love to stay connected to Australia. Great for advanced beginners or a quick knit for those more experienced. The koala chart comes in 2 sizes. You can use duplicate stitch or embroidery over the top to emphasise the claws and facial features (though I’ve not done so on this sample).

MC 4ply version 350m (400m, 450m, 550m, 650m, 750m)
MC 8ply version 300m (350m, 400m, 450m, 550m, 600m)
CC Chart colours: 40m brown, 20m light grey,
15m mid grey, 15m white/cream, 3m black/navy.
Lace weight white mohair optional: 35m.
