Kodachi Sweater is a roomy sweater with vertical stripes. The sweater is worked from the top down. First the back section is worked back and forth to shape the slope of the shoulders with increases. Then stitches are picked up and knitted for each shoulder, which are then joined to form the front section. The front and back are joined to form the body, which is worked in the round, then divided into the front and back again to form the side slits. Then stitches are picked up around the neck to work the ribbed mock neck collar. Finally the sleeves are worked, from stitches picked up around the armhole, in the round to the cuff ribbing.
