Kokomo Tank Top // Dress is a classic tank model with shoulder straps and a u-shaped neck back and front. The design can be worked as a top or a dress - the mesh pattern is very tensile and therefor perfect for both top and dress with a tight fit.
The top/dress is worked from the top down by casting on for the strap with provisional cast-on technique. The first part of the strap is worked straight down in a mesh pattern with increases at the bottom. The second half of the strap is worked in the same way on the basis of the cast-on stitches. Another strap is worked.
Now the straps are joined by cast-on stitches and worked in the round. The work is finished with an i-cord.
Both top and dress can be worked in a heavy or light version. The knitting gauge is the same, but the lighter yarn will make the structure of the stitches looser and make the eyelets of the mesh structure stand out. In the photos the top is the light version and the dress is the heavy version.

Choice of size
The top/dress has a negative ease of 10-15 cm. This means you should choose a size measuring 10-15 cm less than your chest circumference. If your chest measures 96 cm, you should choose a size M with a circumference of 85 cm.

Kokomo Tank Top // Dress er en klassisk tank-model med skulderstropper og u-formet udskæring både fortil og bagtil. Modellen kan strikkes som top eller kjole - meshmønsteret er meget elastisk og velegnet til begge dele.
Toppen/kjolen strikkes opppefra og ned. Maskerne til stropperne slås op med provisional cast-on-teknik og strikkes lige ned, med udtagninger i bunden. Herefter strikkes den anden del af stroppen på samme måde med udgangspunkt i opslaget. Der strikkes endnu en strop magen til. Nu samles stropperne ved hjælp af opslag, og der strikkes rundt til ønsket længde. Arbejdet afsluttes med en i-cord.
Både top og kjole kan strikkes i en heavy eller light model. Strikkefastheden er den samme, men det tyndere garn vil give et løsere maskebillede, hvorved hulstrukturen bliver mere fremtrædende.

Om valg af størrelse
Modellen er beregnet med et negative ease på 10-15 cm. Det vil sige, at du skal vælge en størrelse, hvor overvidden er 10-15 cm mindre end dit brystmål.
Måler du eksempelvis 96 cm, skal du vælge en størrelse M med en overvidde på 85 cm.
