Komorebi Pleated Skirt
This pattern is
available for free.
‘Komorebi’ is a Japanese word, meaning: sunlight filtering through the trees. This crochet pleated skirt is perfect for summer and it is inspired by this beautiful phenomenon. At the bottom of the skirt, the light seems to be filtered in a similar way.
About this skirt:
- The skirt is designed to fall just above the hip. If you want the skirt to fall higher at the waist, you can consider crocheting a smaller size;
- Always make a gauge swatch for clothing before you start to check the tension. By doing this you know that you are crocheting at a similar tension as the designer and that your skirt will be the right size;
- For this skirt, the pattern is described in multiple sizes as follows: XS (S, M, L, XL, 2XL, 3XL, 4XL, 5XL, 6XL). When only one direction is described, this applies to all sizes. It may help to mark the directions for your size with a marker to make it easier to follow the pattern as you crochet.
- Yarn needed: Durable Cotton No. 10, 100% cotton, 100g/420m/459yd 087, Ecru: 5 (5, 6, 6, 6, 7, 7, 8, 8, 8) balls
