Kona's Cowl
Kona, a very dear friend’s Miniature Pinscher, was a very sweet dog who passed away almost 2 years ago. The two of them were pretty inseparable; where one went, the other followed - or was carried. ;-)
Kona was a kind soul and brought a lot of joy to his human family, and this cowl was designed to honor him and all animals that cross the Rainbow Bridge. Here’s wishing peace and solace to all who have lost a pet.
It’s an easy to knit cowl, begun flat and then seamed. This is intentional so you can decide the circumference. You essentially just knit until you get to the length you prefer, block it, and seam it.
Bonus? If you prefer a scarf over a cowl, simply knit to the length you prefer and bind off. If you choose to do that and you like fringe, you may want to remove some yarn from your ball before knitting, 5 yards should do it with a little left over. No one likes to play yarn chicken!
One skein of Muse Fingering Weight in the colorway Impulse is enough to make this cowl. There are 423 yards in one skein.
