Kongro
Please note that these mittens are exclusive to The Selbu Mitten Club III which can be purchased here.
The main mitten motif features a close-up section of the ‘edderkopp’ (spider) pattern, also known as the ‘kongro’ (daddy longlegs) pattern. While the name might not be super appealing to us arachnophobes, it’s amusing that other common names for the kongro is ‘spinnkjerring’ (spinning hag) and ‘vevkjerring’ (weaving hag).
