You will need 2 colours - about 100m/110yds of 4-ply yarn each.

The Leaf Village symbol is knitted in illusion knitting technique. Instructions are very detailed - both written out and charted. You will only use knit and purl stitches. You should be able to make this hat, even if you’ve never done illusion knitting before.

The illusion pattern is described separately, so you can use it in any project.

Detailed advice on how to adapt the pattern for a different size/yarn weight/gauge - you’ll need to do some easy math.
