This earflap hat is knit in the round from the top down. The flaps are knit from stitches left on the needles when casting off for the band. The earflaps end in an I-cord knit for 28/30cm. The ends can be left plain or add bells, beads or trinkets. Materials: 100 grams of a soft warm fibre.
The three hats pictured used: Paton’s Canadiana (soft aqua green) Noro- Thick ( mulit-coloured blues/pinks) Mirasol-Sulka (Brown/Taupe) this hat used 2 skeins of brown and one of Taupe. Any warm fibre will work.
The instructions are written for two adult sizes: Women’s 51/56 cm and Men’s 57/61cm and for the following stitch gauges: 3, 3.5, 4., 4.5, 5, 5.5, 6 sts. 2.5cm/1in.
