Kori is Finnish word for basket. The name comes from basket weave stitch pattern. The stitch pattern started to inspire me and I had to knit socks using it. To highlight the three dimensional effect of the pattern I used worsted weight sock yarn. The socks are knitted cuff-down. The heel is french heel and the socks have wedge toes.

186(252)329 yrds / 170(230)300 m worsted weigth sock yarn.

Nämä sukat saivat nimensä varteen ja jalanpäälle neulotusta korinpohjaneuleesta. Kyseinen mallineule alkoi kiehtoa mieltäni vähän aikaa sitten ja halusin neuloa sukat sitä käyttäen. Sukat on neulottu paksusta sukkalangasta (esim. Novita 7 veljestä, Gjestal Janne), että mallineuleen kolmiulotteisuus pääsee oikeuksiinsa. Sukat aloitetaan perinteisesti varresta. Sukkiin neulotaan ranskalainen kantapää ja kärjessä on leveä nauhakavennus.
