Use any scrap yarn between category 0 and 4. (I like cat 1 - 3 the best.)

Use a crochet hook one or two sizes smaller than the recommended hook for that yarn.

Crocheting in the round was impossible for a young friend, so I designed & tested something even the new beginner crocheter could easily make without becoming frustrated.
