Koskiset
PATTERN UPDATED: It now includes 3 size options!
I originally designed this pattern for my spouse. “Koski”’ means rapids in the Finnish language and “Koskinen” is a common Finnish surname. “Koskiset” would be
translated to something like “Rapidsons”. The name of the pattern may have something to do with my spouse.. ;)
The stitch pattern in these socks mimic the rapids
which change their shape from wild rush to calm narrow gorges and lower rocks.
These socks have a nice rhythm in them which makes them enjoyable to knit. Stitch patterns used in these socks are simple and timeless, and maybe for many of you, already familiar. The sections with stranded knitting are also easy for a beginner, because the yarn floats are kept short. This pattern also gives you a perfect
opportunity to bust your yarn stash.
This pattern has been tech edited and test knit to ensure that the pattern is as clear, correct and consistent as it can be
I’m offering pattern support. Don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any questions about the pattern, I’m more than happy to help. :)
