The previous Kōyasan beanie pattern was made to fit my head size. I did not think about any flexibility to fit for other people to be honest (I am sorry!). I had been wanting to make the pattern more simplified and easy to adjust size-wise right after it was released, and the simplified version is finally here, Kōyasan 2. It consists of Brim section, Body (Kōyasan Cable) section, and Crown Shaping section. Kōyasan Cable is multiple of 17 sts (2 1⁄2” (6.5cm)). If you want to adjust circumference size, simply calculate your desired measurement multiplying of 17. If the number is not an even number, add 1 for 1x1 ribbing to be even. If you want to adjust depth size, simply repeat Kōyasan Cable pattern (2 1⁄8” (5.5cm)) as much as you desire. You could also make the beanie with a 2x2 rib brim or a shorter brim, or you could skip Crown Shaping to make a cowl instead. This pattern is very flexible for your desire.
