My Husband purchased an Amazon Kindle for me, for Christmas, this past year. I was VERY excited to finally have one. The Kindle doesn’t come with a cover. That is a separate purchase. Eventually I will buy a cover for my Kindle. Until then, I needed to knit a cover for my precious Kindle. This pattern is the result of my cover. • This pattern is made for the Kindle 2, dimensions 8 inches in height/5.3 inches in width, with a 6 inch display.

• The cover can easily be made to fit any dimensions, by adding or subtracting to the original cast on.

• An even number of stitches are used for the stitch pattern. (multiple of 2)

• You can use double pointed needles or a 16 inch circular needle. Your choice. I used both. I cast on with dpn’s and once I got going, switched to the circular needle.

• Any worsted weight yarn will work for this pattern.

• You should know: Knit, Purl, Slip 1.
