What to do with 60 yards of beautiful jewell multi coloured homespun? Make it into an edging for a flowing laceweight twirly scarf!
Pattern can be worked from charts or full written directions. Please note that by ‘full written directions’, I do mean fully written out line by line. No need to use the chart at all if you are not comfortable with them. If you are a chart hater you will be able to knit my patterns.
This pattern calls for a small amount of heavier yarn, for example 4 ply or use your laceweight double. Its a simple short row construction to give a fluid, undulating, twirling long shape, which sits neatly flat on the shoulders for warmth and no bulk under a coat or jacket. The laceweight means that its light as a feather and takes up no room in your bag if things turn warmer.
Although straightforward to make, the pattern is both charted and written.
This project would suit a beginner or give a more advanced knitter a break from more complicated work!
