Kristin Socks is a top-down design with a heel flap and wedge toe. It features cables and lace, balancing out the stretchiness (or cable suckage??). The pattern is simple enough, yet not boring.

Pattern is written for 2 circulars but easily adaptable for DPNs, single circular, or Magic Loop.

This sock was originally designed using yarn my pal, Kristin, dyed - Dear Myna MCN Sock yarn. Thus, I named the pattern after her.

If you are used to using 2.25mm for socks, you may consider using that for the heel flap and foot. Stick with 2.5mm so the leg is stretchable to go over the ankle.

Any single skein of fingering yarn, no less than 350 yards should be sufficient for knitting the pair. Stitch pattern may be lost with a variegated yarn - pick solid or semi-solid yarns.
