Suggested yarn (choose one of the following options):

  1. Any silk mohair approx. 25g – 200-225m (220-250yds) 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 skeins – cropped version
  2. Any silk mohair approx. 25g – 200-225m (220-250yds) 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 skeins – regular version

You can knit two strands of silk mohair held together, but please note that in this case you will need more yarn.

Alternative yarn options testers used:
1. Alpakka Folgetrad 100% alpaca wool 50g – 400m (437yds). A tester knitted two strands held together and for size XS-S cropped version spent 145g

• A pair of 3.0mm (US 2.5, UK 11) straight or circular needles for 1x1 ribbing
• A pair of 4.5mm (US 7, UK 7) circular needles for the main body. You can use straight needles as well, but you will need circular needles to start sleeves. If you prefer knitting sleeves in the round and don’t use the magic loop technique you will need needles 4.5mm (US 7, UK 7) 40cm/ 16” as well
• A pair of 4.0mm (US 6, UK8) circular needles for the collar
• A pair of 2,25mm (US 1, UK 13) for the I-cord
• Tapestry needle
• Stitch holder or about 100 cm of waste yarn (25”)
• Measuring tape
• Scissors
GAUGE (TENSION) approximate:
14sts x 23rows = 10 x 10 cm (4 x 4 inches) in stockinette stitch after washing and blocking. The swatch is made back and forth with 4.5mm (US 7, UK 7) knitting needles.
