Krueger is inspired by more than just a deep and utter fascination with everyone’s favorite slasher. When I was four or five years old, my grandfather and I would stay up late to watch scary movies and shows on television. Pet Sematary, Tales from the Crypt, Poltergeist, Child’s Play, and The X Files were amongst the earliest selections, but when Freddy sauntered across the screen that first time, I knew I was hooked for the rest of my life. Our obsession with horror was something that only the two of us shared, a bond that couldn’t be broken no matter how many times were were told to turn them off or that I was too young to see such frightful creatures and they would surely give me nightmares. Even now, whenever I watch a thriller, I can tell he’s here to cheer for the bad guys right along with me, and it helps me miss him just a little bit less.

This pattern was designed in collaboration with Enchanted Yarn, using Nina’s gorgeous Bamboo 4 Ply base. She has also loved the creepy, strange, and downright terrifying for as long as she can remember, so working together on this project was absolutely a match made on Elm Street. She is such an incredible dyer, whose excitement and support really brought these gloves to life in a way that wouldn’t have happened otherwise. We cannot wait to share it with you!

Krueger are knit mostly in the round, from the cuff to the fingers, with slip stitch details, thumb gussets for each hand, and a large keyhole on the palm. The gloves are available in three sizes, with 1/2 an inch of negative ease built in, for a fitted silhouette that is also surprisingly warm.
