These hats are all over Ebay and Etsy and I wanted to give it a try to make my own. I couldn’t find a free pattern so I decided I would give it a try on my own.

I used yarn I had already so it is bulkier than the original hats I have seen online.

I will make another with a lighter weight yarn and expect that the decorative rows will show up even better!

This pattern has only been used by me so please let me know if there are any errors; I am new at this! :)

I have added some photos of a brown hat (made with “F” hook), done with fingering weight yarn. It certainly looks alot like the Kufi’s I have seen. I recommend this yarn weight, very light and delicate, definately a neat little hat. :)
