Kusama Cape
BANDS OF cloth stitch, a smart slip stitch pattern, decorate this capelet by Sophie Jordan. The capelet is worked from the bottom up in the round, and has a neat finish thanks to a folded hem and neck. Sophie has also designed a pair of matching mitts, which are worked flat then seamed, leaving a hole for the thumbs. Both are worked in Scheepjes Whirligig, a cosy wool-alpaca gradient yarn with long colour changes.
To fit bust:
30-32; 34-36; 38-40; 42-44 inches
Yarn:
Scheepjes Whirligig Plum to Red (209); 1 x 450g cake (all sizes)
One cake should be enough for the cape and mitts, but you may need to undo your swatch if making the largest size.
