Kuulin äänen
This design was inspired by woven blankets in the ethnological collections of The National Museum of Finland. Employing lace motifs from the Shetland tradition,
it is knit in one piece from beginning to end with no grafting. There are three sections which can be combined in different ways to achieve different overall effects: a center which can be adjusted in width, a left side panel, and a right side panel.
The length can be adjusted to your own needs. Instruction are given for 5 different sizes. Lace patterns are charted only.
The photos show Sizes 1 (40 x 180 cm) and 2 (80 x 200 cm).
Both samples were knit with Aurinkokehrä Gotland/Leicester 1-ply, 100g/600m.

The pattern can also be knit with different weights of yarn, heavier or finer. Choose a needle size appropriate
to your yarn weight.
