This is the cover project for Let’s Knit! Magazine 38, December 2010. It’s an Andean/Peruvian-style earflap hat with tassels on the top and at the ends of the extended earflaps. It’s decorated in fairisle and intarsia with faux Peruvian motifs. The intarsia motifs can be swiss-darned instead.

There is a small pattern-repeat chart for the intarsia motif. The yardage quoted above is probably excessive, as the recommended yarn is only available in 100g balls, and this colourwork hat requires one ball of each of three colours. Stitch holders are required.
