Kvituchi Socks
Kvituchi Socks were designed with a beautiful stitch pattern that reminds flowers in their blooming time.
“Kvituchi” means “all in flowers” in Ukrainian. So your feet will bloom too while you’ll wear these socks.
Socks are worked cuff down seamlessly in the round with heel flap and gusset shaping.
Finished sizes
One size
Women Medium.
Finished measurements
Width (foot): 20 cm / 8’’;
Length (from cuff to heel): 23 cm / 9’’;
Length (foot) – adjustable.
Socks are intend to be worn with slightly negative ease around foot.
Needles
Circular needle size 3 mm (US 2.5) 80 or 100cm (32 or 40’’) long for magic loop method or set of dpns;
Or needle size needed to obtain gauge.
Notions: tapestry needle, stitch markers.
Original yarn
1 ball of Novita Nalle (75% wool, 25% polyamide; 100g /3.5oz - 260m /284 yds) colors 506 (Pink) and 285 (Mustard);
Optional - held together with 1 ball BBB Soft Dream (70% mohair, 30% silk; 25g /0.9oz - 225m /246 yds).
Yardage: approx 185-240 m / 202-262 yds - for women foot size US 5-10 (Euro 36-43) UK 3.5-8.5;
Suggested yarn: any DK/sport weight yarn held together with a mohair lace weight yarn (optional).
Gauge
25 sts x 30 rnds = 10cm / 4’’ over Stockinette stitch in the round on 3 mm (US 2.5) needles after blocking.
