Kylix Cowl
If you are a beginner and are looking for a rhythmic pattern to get your confidence up, or are an old hand at colourwork looking for a quick project, this is for you!
The inspiration for this cowl design came from looking at motifs found on pottery from ancient Greece. I love playing with texture, and something about translating a pattern from the rigid form of ceramic to the soft medium of yarn was really exciting!
The pattern features a repeating colourwork motif - if you want a narrower or wider cowl you can add/remove repeats as desired (this will have an effect on the yardage needed). For those less confident at colourwork, I have included an additional chart which provides guidance on where floats should be caught.
