This pattern is also available for purchase via PayHip or LoveCrafts.
“Kyth in your ain colours that fowk may ken you.” Allan Ramsay, (1776). A Collection of Scots Proverbs, p.48.
Simple stitches don’t have to create simple finishes! This reversible shawl creates an extremely elegant and wearable piece, with opulent textured motifs and (optional) fringed edging. Using only a few different stitch types (knit and purl, plus knit and purl increases) and with charts and full written instructions, this shawl showcases the wonderful textures and finishes you can create with knitting.
Sample shown in Ginger’s Hand Dyed Yakety Yak 4 Ply in the limited edition ‘Lion Rampant’ colourway, that was dyed for the 2018 Indie Burgh Craft Crawl in Edinburgh.
