About the design and the pattern
l u c i d cowl can be opened and closed at the front with a zipper, which is sewed after you’ve finished knitting. The collar is folded and knit together as you start knitting the yoke, and looks like a double-knit collar in stockinette st.
You’ll work short rows for a raised neckline, raglan increases to the right and the left, and further short rows in the back and front of the piece for beautiful rounded yoke, which you will finish with an i-cord edge.
This practical piece has many uses: an extra layer on a cold winter day, or a warm layer around your neck under a light coat in spring and autumn. The zipper adds functionality and flexibility, as it can be opened all the way up, and does not need to be pulled down over the head.
l u c i d cowl is an easy knitting project. It has a functional design, which at the same time has beautiful details, giving it an elegant look.

Fit
The sizes above are for the finished piece, after blocking, and indicate the circumference of the collar including the zipper. These include a positive ease of approximately 3-5 cm.
If your neck circumference is of 34 cm, for example, choose a size 2.
Tip: the smaller the ease, the tighter your collar will be, so choose a size closer to your neck’s circumference if you prefer a snug fit.
