Please note that this pattern includes instructions for a sleeve-less tank, as well as for a short-sleeved tee.
The pattern is tested (list of testers further down).
Design and construction.
The top is worked seamlessly and bottom-up.
The lace-border is a bit wider than the chest-circumference, which means you that you will achieve a flattering fit (hip-bonus).
Working in the round, and starting from the lovely lace-border, work is continued in stockinette sts to underarms, where work is split for upper back and upper front.
The shoulders are shaped by short-rows, and worked together using the 3-needle bind-off method, or grafting.
The neckline is worked in the round from picked-up and knit sts.
The tank: armhole edges are worked from picked-up and knit sts.
The short-sleeved tee: the sleeve-cap is shaped using short-rows, thereafter the main-sleeve is worked in the round to bind-off, ending with a lace-patterned hem.
Sizes
Finished chest circumference, sizes 1/2/3/4/5/6/7/8/9/10: 80/88/96/104/112/120/128/136/144/152 cm = 31.5/34.5/38/41/44/47/50/53.5/56.5/60”
Recommended ease: 0 - 7.5 cm/0 - 3”.
Materials
Yarn. There are 2 versions possible: 1) the sleeveless tank and 2) the short-sleeved top. For both garments, I recommend a fingering weight (or possibly a sport weight) yarn, that knits up to gauge. Choose a yarn with great stitch-definition, that will show off the lace well.
1. The tank. Martins Lab, ”Merino Singles”, colour-way ”Cerulan” (366 m/400 yards = 100 gr/3.53 oz) To work the tank, you will need approximately 600/645/720/790/870/950/1020/1120/1250/1350 m = 655/705/785/865/950/1035/1115/1220/1365/1475 yards. 2. The short-sleeved top. ”Tosh Merino light”, colour-way ”Optic” (384 m/420 yards = 100 gr/3.53 oz). To work the top, you will need approximaterly 650/700/780/860/940/1020/1100/1200/1320/1440 m = 710/765/850/940/1025/1115/1200/1308/1438/1570 yards.
Needles Size 3 mm/US2.5 (or size to obtain gauge).
Gauge
25 sts and 34 - 38 rows/rounds in stockinette sts,
and also the lace = 10 x 10 cm/4 x 4”.

- All measurements are given in cm’s, as well as in inches.
