La Masque is the summer cousin of La Mascarada, a design that was inspired by the mystery and drama of a 16th century Masquerade Ball. La Masque is a lightweight summer top using a lace weight linen/silk blend, combining stocking stitch and lace techniques to create a beautiful and elegant yoke panel.

The top is worked from the top down, with the section before the lace worked back and forward, to create an opening which is fastened by a hook and eye or your preferred fastening. Short rows are added to shape the neckline and the lace design is worked in the round. The sleeves and body are separated and worked top to bottom.

The body has shaping, creating a swing shift effect. Increases are worked for a gentle A-line shape.

The body can be any length and the instructions show where the length can be added.

This top is intended to be worn with 1cm/1/3” positive ease. To pick the best size, add your desired ease to your bust size and pick the finished bust circumference closest to that number.
