Stradina is the Italian word for “little street”. Little streets like those found in small Mediterranean villages provided inspiration for this shawl. Little streets carry a sense of mystery when you visit for the first time; they are narrow and quiet, and you get to take a turn unexpectedly only to find some wonderful surprise ahead.
I used 4 skeins of fingering weight yarn in 4 different colorways (CA, CB, CC and CE) plus 1 mini skein (CD). - CA and CD are the bold, contrasting colorways. - CB, CC and CE are complementary to CA and create a fade from dark to light.
Finished measurements of the prototype: 180cm (wingspan) x 80cm (depth measured along the “spine” of the shawl)
This pattern has been fully tested by a wonderful group of 9 Test Knitters, so that you receive clear, precise instructions. You could say this is a great stashbuster project, since you are free to create the color combos following your taste and inspiration. This is what my Test Knitters did and it worked! 9 beautiful, unique shawls were the result of their effort and skill.
