This pattern is for a Labrador puppy, it’s jumper (sweater), ball, bone, bowls, collar, blanket and bed.

The pattern contains lots of photos to help you every step of the way. It is written in English, using American crochet terms. All of my patterns have been independently tested prior to publication.

You will need:

Yarn of your choice. Yarn weight doesn’t really matter - the size of your project will simply turn out bigger or smaller! I used Stylecraft Special Aran yarn for this project (equivalent to light worsted weight) and my finished puppy measures approximately 19cm tall 28cm long (when in a standing position). Please ensure that you use the same weight yarn to make both your puppy and the bed / accessories to ensure that the pieces will fit.

For the puppy you will need the following colours:

• Main body colour - I used beige (approx. 168m).

For the bed you will need the following colours:

• Bed colour - I used green (approx. 242m ).
• Blanket colour - I used blue (approx. 94m).

For all the other accessories you will need the following colours:

• Jumper / Sweater colour - I used red (approx. 49m).
• Ball colour - I used yellow (approx. 9m).
• Bone colour - I used cream (approx. 8m).
• Bowls colour - I used light grey (approx. 26m) with small amounts (approx. 6m) of both blue and brown for the removable water and food to go in them.
• Collar colour- I used mint (approx. 3.5m).

Please note = The amount of yarn used will vary according to yarn weight, hook size and stitch tension so these measurements are only a rough guide. The pattern refers to the colours that I used, however these can be substituted for colours of your choice.

You will also need:

• A suitable size hook for the yarn you have chosen - I used a 4mm hook.
• A pair of 9mm black safety eyes.
• A 15mm plastic nose. If you don’t have this, you can use a black button instead.
• Some toy stuffing.
• Some finer black, white and dark grey yarn or thread for adding the details to the face and paws.
• 3 medium buttons for fastening the jumper & collar (the buttons I used were 15mm in diameter)
• A metal brush such as a pet slicker brush if you want to make your puppy fluffy (this is optional).
• Other tools you will need are a tapestry needle, some scissors and some stitch markers.
