This is a pattern for a knitted and felted labrador retriever dog. The pattern is for intermediate knitters and is worked in stockinette; you should be familiar with knit (k), purl (p), increase (inc), decrease/k2tog, make 1 (m1) and wrap and turn/short row shaping (WT).

The completed dog is about 12” nose to tail after felting. Gauge is not critical but knitting should be loose to allow for felting. The pattern as written uses one skein of Patons Classic Wool; other wool yarns may be used but please do a test swatch to make sure they felt.
