Lace Arrow Shawlette
I love the look of a shawlette with a pattern stitch edge and a
simple garter stitch body. In this pattern the edging is knit first in a simple lace pattern, then stitches are picked up along the
edge to make the shawlette. I chose to use two colors but this
could easily be made with one color.
One weekend in Aug. I was on a mission to knit on a project that had nothing to do with work. I found myself knitting this cute little shawlette out of one of the most wonderfully soft yarns I have. One thing led to another and I ended up taking notes so that I could write the pattern (so much for not working on anything that had to do with work).
The stitch pattern used on the edging is the same as the Lace Arrow Mittens from my upcoming Craftsy.com class. I think that many of the students will find that this is a great complimentary accessory for that pattern.
I finished this pattern in less than 8 hours so it is a wonderful weekend project!
