This is a pattern for a lace stitch, and ribbed scarf. The ribbing section forms the turtleneck that wraps entirely around your neck. The lace panels both lie on your chest. If you love knitting lace, you’ll love making this scarf.

The mathematics of this stitch would make most skilled mathematicians take a second look. The panels allow you to show off your knitting prowess, while the turtleneck section will keep you warm. Nor is it heavy, as it’s made with light worsted weight yarn (or dk weight yarn, depending upon your perspective. The sample is made using one of the nicest yarns available on the market today, Lady Godiva, by Handmaiden Yarns, in colorway Aurora

The pattern is both charted and written out line by line. There are also instructions for an optional crocheted edging, should you want to edge it.

Skill Level: Intermediate - Intermediate + (assuming a basic knowledge of knitting, purling and YO’s)
