Lace Butterfly Applique
by Liz Shafer
A free version is also available.
Crochet lace butterfly applique!
2 different styles, one made with Aunt Lydia’s crochet thread in size 10 and a size 1.5mm hook, and the other made with Red Heart Super Saver and a size 3.5mm hook.
I also sewed a few layers of orange tulle to the back, to fill in the lace with orange, making it look like a monarch butterfly.
Use as an applique, as a component in Irish lace, or use just the wings to sew onto a doll.
A free video tutorial is available on my youtube channel at the link.
