The Lace Checks Pullover is a simple, cozy pullover perfect for keeping you warm in the fall and winter! The boxy, cropped body, boat neckline, and loose sleeves make for a great layering piece. The body features a checkered textured pattern with eyelets making for a fun to knit and easy to memorize pattern. Knit up in Briar Rose Fibers Abundance yarn, the Lace Checks Pullover is a great beginner pattern that’s perfect for showcasing special hand-dyed yarns!

Materials:
• Briar Rose Fibers Abundance (100% wool, Heavy Worsted weight yarn; 750 yds / 685 m per skein - approx. 16 oz)
• Note: The yarn weight used for this design is heavy worsted weight but the gauge that this pattern requires could also very likely be achieved with aran or bulky weight yarns.
• Approximately 630 (710, 770, 870, 945) (1020, 1130, 1200, 1300) yards / 576 (649, 704, 796, 864) (933, 1033, 1097, 1189) meters OR 1 (1, 2, 2, 2) (2, 2, 2, 2) skeins
Gauge:
• 13 sts and 24 rows over 4” / 10 cm in Body Rounds pattern worked in the round and blocked
Needles:
• Size 9 (5.5 mm) 32-40” / 81.5-101.5 cm circular needles or size needed to obtain gauge and spare gauge-size needles for the 3-needle bind off.
• Additional needle of the same size for your preferred method of small circumference knitting (9”/ 23 cm circular, 2-circulars, DPNs or Magic Loop) for the sleeves and cuffs
Notions:
• Stitch marker, spare needles or waste yarn for placing shoulder stitches on hold, tapestry needle, row counter (optional)
Construction:
Knit from the bottom up in the round. At the divide for the armholes, the front and back are worked separately, flat. Shoulders are seamed using the three needle bind off. Sleeves are picked up and worked in the round outward from the body.
