Lace Chevron Fingerless Gloves
These lace chevron fingerless gloves are fairly easily knitted as the pattern is a basic 2 row repeat. The delicate lace chevron design is all over the visible part of the hand, as well as all around the wrist and the top of the mitt, leaving the stocking stitch to cover the palm of the hand.
Size:
One size fits most women with wrist circumference of between 15cm (6in) and 17cm (7in).
Total glove length after blocking: 26cm (10in).
Skills:
Knitting in the round (magic loop or using double-pointed needles) (video tutorial links are included in the PDF pattern);
Basic lace stitches.
Note:
Please note that 1 skein is just enough to finish the pair, so if your knitting is looser than the indicated tension square (which would result in a larger mitten, you may require 2 skeins, or you can reduce the number of pattern repeats on the wrist).
Materials:
1 skein of James C. Brett Pure Merino (50g - 124m -136yds per skein) or equivalent weight yarn in your favourite brand/colour – The colour I used for the mittens shown here is Candy Pink (Shade
PM15);
one 4mm (US size 6) circular needle of 60cm (24in) length or longer or a set of 4mm (US size 6) double-pointed needles;
2 stitch markers,
1 stitch holder or a 20cm (8in) length of smooth yarn in a contrasting colour;
1 tapestry needle.
