Lace Closed cardigan is worked seamlessly from the top down with a rib stitch pattern. Knitting starts with the back to the underarm. The shoulder stitches for the fronts are picked up from the back CO (you will first work the right front, then the left front). Once the short row shaped shoulder slope is done, the fronts are worked flat to underarm. At underarm both fronts and back are joined to work the body top down back and forth to the bottom hem. Sleeve stitches are picked up around the arm openings to work the sleeves top down in rounds to the cuffs. Body edge is done with a simple i-cord.

This cardigan is designed to be worn with 30 cm of positive ease at the bust. To achieve this fit, choose a size with a bust measurement 30 cm larger than your own.

Lace Closed Cardigan, è lavorato top down, senza cuciture con il punto coste. Si inizia a lavorare il dietro fino al sottomanica, con alcuni ferri accorciati per modellare lo scollo. Subito dopo vengono riprese le maglie delle spalle direttamente dall’avvio del dietro (si lavora prima il davanti destro, poi il sinistro). Una volta terminati i ferri accorciati che modellano l’inclinazione delle spalle, i davanti vengono lavorati, secondo modello, in piano fino all’ascella. Sotto l’ascella si uniscono i due davanti e il dietro per lavorare il corpo fino al bordo inferiore. Le maglie delle maniche vengono poi riprese intorno all’ apertura delle braccia per lavorarle in tondo fino ai polsini. Infine si riprendono le maglie dal bordo del corpo chiudendole poi con un semplice i-cord.
