I love the look of shawls, but feel like I’m always adjusting and trying to keep the ends from slipping off my shoulders. This cowl looks like a triangular-shaped shawl, but will stay in place! The first couple of sections are knit flat, then the ends are joined and the rest is knit in the round. Simple garter sections form the borders between eyelet and lace sections. Each section is short enough to be interesting without becoming monotonous. This pattern looks lovely knit with either a solid or variegated fingering weight yarn.

NEEDLE
US size 6/4mm circular needle – about 30” inches or shorter

YARN
Approximately 60-70g of fingering weight yarn

GAUGE
Approximately 4.5 sts per 1”/2.5cm in garter stitch. However, gauge is not crucial in this pattern. Use the size needle to achieve the drape that you want.
