Lace for the Very First Time
This is a 20-page tutorial that teaches the basics of knitting lace and reading lace charts for beginners. It assumes only that you know how to knit, purl, cast on and bind off.
It includes instructions for 4 bookmarks, each of which teaches one new skill, and a lace and garter stitch scarf in dk weight (or sport or worsted.)
You will learn how to ssk, k2tog, k3tog, sl1-k2tog-psso, as well as how to use a chart, how to correct common mistakes, how to tink, how to use a lifeline and how to use stitch markers.
If you already know how to knit lace, you do not need to buy this patter; you could create the patterns yourself. All stitch patterns are found in the first two Barbara Walker Treasuries. The charting is my original work, as are all the instructions.
