Pattern does not specify a brand of yarn to use, only that it should be DK or Sport-weight and cotton.

From the designer: This is a great first lace project!

You can use DK (double-knit) or sport-weight cotton for this to make a nice little kerchief for your hair.

To do this project, you will need to know how to do a slip 1 (Sl1), yarn over (YO) and a knit 2 together (K2tog) in addition to the usual knit, purl, cast-on and bind-off.

This pattern can also be adapted to a shawl pattern. All you do is just follow the pattern in any yarn you like until your shawl reaches the desired size.

Row 5: Sl1, YO, K5 ….
