Lace Leaf Baby Blanket
The Lace Leaf Baby Blanket has a centre section of seed stitches, with a ‘woven’ border and ribbing, and a border of repeating lace leaf designs.
SKILL LEVEL: Advanced. THIS IS AN ADVANCED LOOP YARN PATTERN. IT INVOLVES SKIPPED STITCHES, AND DOUBLE AND TRIPLE STITCHING. THERE ARE TECHNIQUES USED HERE THAT MAY BE NEW TO EVEN EXPERIENCED LOOP YARN KNITTERS.
SUGGESTED MATERIALS: 8 balls of Red Heart Loop-It yarn (3.5 oz/100g (Image shown is the colour ‘Purple’).
SUGGESTED TOOLS: No needles required (finger knitting). Scissors.
FINISHED MEASUREMENTS: Approx. 35” x 50” (89 cm x 127 cm).
PLEASE NOTE: This pattern will work with any brand of loop yarn, but keep in mind that the size of the loops, and size of the balls/skeins of each brand is different.
Lion Brand Off-The-Hook, Red Heart Loop-It and Alize Puffy (European) yarns can all be used with this pattern as is and will yield a blanket of approximately the same same size.
If you use Bernat Alize Blanket-EZ yarn, the loops are larger, so the blanket will be larger; and because the balls are larger (6.4 oz/180g), only 4-6 balls should be needed.
