Worked in DK weight yarn with mid-size needles this is a poncho suitable for indoors or outdoors in cool weather when a jacket is too much. Using a simple, classic lace edge and collar the poncho is feminine without being fussy and is an easy knit with basic colorwork and a four row lace repeat that is quickly memorized.

The poncho is worked from the bottom up with the lace edge knit flat (sides 1 and 2) then joined to knit the body in the round using a stockinette stitch. The same lace work makes up the side split collar.

The poncho may be knit in a size s/m or a size l/xl. Suitable for an adventurous novice the project interesting enough to keep the adept knitters happily engaged.
