Lace Mitts
This pretty design requires no bells and whistles. The most
basic of machines can manage it.
YARN, GAUGE, SIZE AND MACHINE
Use any nice #3 yarn that works well on your machine. Adjust stitch size to get a gauge of 5 stitches per inch. The design should work on all machines. On bulkies, it will be worked at a very small stitch size, with larger stitch sizes for mid-gauge and standard machines. Passaps can make it at the largeststitch size. The instructions assume a manual machine without a ribber. Ad-justments for machines that do have ribbers are given at the end. Length is about 7.75”, circumference 7.5”. This will fit most teen girls and adult women. Size adjustments for larger hands are suggested below. Gauge adjustments for different yarns are
also given below.
