Lace Newsboy Cap ~ a lace version of my popular newsboy cap

Inspired by my popular Newsboy Cap accessory prompted this stylish lace version in keeping with today’s fashion trends and in celebration of my fourth anniversary as a ravelry member ♥

Light Worsted/DK Version: Simply change to larger needle size as noted below and follow pattern along with prompt ** in pattern page

Construction: Worked flat: Back and forth in rows from the brim cast on edge to crown in one piece then seamed. Cap peak worked separately then sewn in place with optional decorative buttons added at completion for a finishing touch to this trendy cap

OR omit cap peak for a stylish beret

Pattern Features: Written line by line instructions given throughout. The main body of the cap is worked in an easy to achieve all over lace effect pattern created from bringing yarn forward or yarn over before knitting two stitches together and incorporated into the crown shaping

Skill Level: Project suitable for beginners with line by line instructions given throughout. Uses basic stitches, repetitive stitch patterns and simple shaping and finishing

Worsted Weight Version: Pair of 3.25mm throughout (US 3 -UK/CANADIAN 10) using 65 - 70 yards of medium worsted #4 weight yarn
Yarn Equivalent: 10ply UK, NZ, AU
Gauge: Using 3.25mm needles: 6 sts and 7 rows in 1 inch over stockinette stitch based on materials used:
