Lace of Hope
“Lace of Hope” is huge and comforting lace shawl - light and luxurious, and every stitch is designed to share hope. It has 246 hearts formed with lace technique and using Estonian “nupp” stitches. Standing by themselves or snuggling inside one another.
There are two different edgings in this pattern - one for the lower and upper edge, and one for both sides. The edging pattern is divided by the small accenting cable border. Hearts are framed by small leaves.
The shawl is rectangular and large (see the size below↓). Knitting instructions are divided into steps for easier following and you can choose between written instructions and charts. Now all you need is yarn, needles, and time.
Remember! You can knit anything two rows at a time. ♥︎
YARN
150 g to 200 g (2460 to 3289 yds) 30/2 cobweb lace weight yarn from wool or merino (1500 m / 1640 yards per 100 grams)
You can use any laceweight fine yarn, but note that you need to check the yardage to get enough yarn. I would get more than needed, just in case, or choose the yarn I know I can get more of if needed.
NEEDLES
3,5 mm / US 4 / UK 10 needles for casting on and binding off
2,5 mm / US 0 / UK 13 needles for knitting
The shawl is knitted flat, but you can use circular needles if you feel it’s more comfortable.
