WHO can resist the allure of airy-light knitted lace, especially when combined so alluringly with georgette and swansdown? Who wants to resist when such enchanting comfort may be had at little cost, and with the minimum of effort? YOU’LL note that the dressing-gown is lined with georgette matching exactly the “bitter-sweet” pink wool used, and trimmed with swansdown. The lining can be cut without a pattern. Just straight lengths are used, the measurements for which are given below. The shaping of the shoulder (and waistline) is obtained by inverted tucks. This makes it possible for the most inexperienced dressmaker to obtain a perfection of finish equalling that of a professional.

MATERIALS: 9½ skeins of Bitter Sweet 2-ply wool, pair each of Nos. 3, 10, and 12 needles (Old UK), 3½ yards of matching georgette, 5 yards of swansdown, 4 pink pearl buttons.

Measurements: Bust 34 inches, full-length from shoulder 53 inches, sleeve 21 inches.
