SIZES
Circumference:

Medium – 31 cm (12 inches)
Large – 42 cm (16.5 inches)

Height:
Small – 4 cm (1.5 inches)

You can vary the size by changing the yarn thickness. You can knit pumpkins of your own size using any yarn of your choice.

YARN
For a small pumpkin, you will need approximately 10 grams of yarn, 361 yards per 100 grams.
For a medium pumpkin, you will need approximately 15 grams of yarn, 273 yards per 100 grams.
For a large pumpkin, you will need approximately 20 grams of yarn, 218 yards per 100 grams.
For my pumpkins, I used the following types of yarn: Wool&Silk from GAZZAL (20% silk/80% Superwash Merino Wool, 50 grams – 360 yards), color 11145 Pumpkin Spice, and Silk Mohair from Lana Gatto (75% Superkid mohair/25% Seta-silk, 25 grams – 232 yards), color 14524 “Ginger”.

YOU WILL NEED
Double-pointed or circular needles (if you are knitting using the “Magic Loop” method) size 2.0 mm, 3.0 mm, 4.0 mm, or needles of other sizes to achieve the required gauge; a marker to indicate the beginning of the row if you are knitting using the “Magic Loop” method; wool or synthetic stuffing (I used natural sheep’s wool); sticks and grapevine tendrils for decorating the item (you can choose your own decoration and finishing).

GAUGE
24 stitches x 36 rows = 10 cm x 10 cm in stockinette stitch after blocking on 2.0 mm needles.
20 stitches x 26 rows = 10 cm x 10 cm in stockinette stitch after blocking on 3.0 mm needles.
18 stitches x 20 rows = 10 cm x 10 cm in stockinette stitch after blocking on 4.0 mm needles.
If you want to knit pumpkins of my size, check the gauge before starting.
