This is a pattern for a knitted lace sampler scarf. There are 5 different lace stitches contained within the pattern, including the bottom edge stitch, which is added last. This pattern allows the knitter to experiment with several different kinds of lace, while making a single article. If you’ve thought about tackling a shawl, but were hesitant, this may be the perfect way to “stick your toe in the water.” Or if you just wanted to experiment with various lace stitches, this again may be the perfect scarf for you. It was made with light weight yarn (heavy sock yarn or fingering weight yarn). In the case of this sampler, it was made with undyed Bugga.

This pattern was expertly tested by Rebecca Wood. (rkwood16@gmail.com), known on Ravelry as Rebs16
