This pattern is made with worsted weight yarn and straight, single point knitting needles (4 mm or US size 6). The extra bit along the side is where you can add your choice of colours. It’s a great project to use up some of those smaller bits of yarn in your stash you don’t know what to do with. You can make slipper from a woman’s size 6 to a man’s size 12.

The pattern is very basic. It’s knit flat using basic stitches. If there is anything more complicated, I’ve included links to helpful how-to videos on YouTube. This slipper pattern is an ideal project for beginners or anyone looking for a straightforward, relaxing knit.

The gauge isn’t overly important. Because it’s made with a garter stitch, it’s very stretchy and will form to any shaped foot. This is a VERY forgiving pattern. As long as you’re close to the gauge (a stitch or a couple rows), these will still fit.
